Caterina Di Cecca is an Italian composer based in Rome. Winner of more than forty international calls for scores and composition competitions (Call for scores Tuns Contemporans Biennale für Neue Musik Graubünden – Category: String Orchestra of Chur, Open Call “SIAE Classici di Oggi 2018/2019” – Commission for Orchestra, [‘tactus] Young Composers’ Forum of Mons, George Enescu International Composition Competition of Bucharest, Franco Donatoni International Meeting for Young Composers of Milan), she has received commissions by several institutions including Aldeburgh Festival (UK) in cooperation with Ulysses Network, Biennale Musica di Venezia (IT), Ars Nova Ensemble in collaboration with SACEM (FR), SIAE – Classici di Oggi in partnership with Orchestra della Toscana (IT), Divertimento Ensemble (IT) supported by Ernst von Siemens Foundation (DE), Fondazione Lirico Sinfonica Petruzzelli e Teatri di Bari (IT), MICF 2022 (US), Puccini Festival (IT), German Embassy in Rome (DE) and World Exposition 2015 (IT). Her scores, have been performed and programmed in nearly twenty countries worldwide (Austria, Belgium, England, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Mexico, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Netherlands, The Philippines, Ukraine and USA) by ensembles and orchestras such as Kammerphilharmonie Graubünden (CH), Neue Vocalsolisten (DE), Alarm Will Sound (US), Musiques Nouvelles (BE), Ensemble Mosaik (DE), Ars Nova Ensemble (FR), Riot Ensemble (UK), Ensemble Oerknal! (NL), Ulysses Ensemble, Ensemble Reconsil (AT), Studio for New Music (RU), Orchestra and Choir of the Teatro Petruzzelli (IT), Birmingham Contemporary Music Group (UK) and Orchestra della Toscana (IT). She has been invited as a composer-in-residence in Italy (Fondazione Spinola Banna per l’Arte – 2015) and in the US (Mizzou International Composers Festival – 2022).

We would like to inform you the result of the 44th Irino Prize, 2022.
The Selection Committee has been held on 13 November , 2022 at the NPO JML Yoshiro Irino Music Institute Tokyo.
Total of Entries:17 compositions, 8 countries
Award: 300,000 Japanese yen
Jury of this year: Takayuki RAI(Chair), Satoshi TANAKA, Mari TAKANO, Masahiro MIWA, Haruyuki SUZUKI, Rica NARIMOTO(absent), and Yasuaki ITAKURA(Special Jury)
