 <Profile>Richard Perrin: Richard Perrin: He got a Master of Composition in the CNSMDL (National Superior Conservatory of Music in Lyon), a Master of Musicology in Sorbonne University in Paris and he won Six Prizes of theories in the CNSMDP (National Superior Conservatory of Music in Paris).

He studied and the training courses with many outstanding composers. He often works about the notions of “pattern” and “variation”. He studied piano at École Normale and he plays piano and drums. In 2004, his book “Les 4 variations de Philipe Hurel” won the Prize of the Charles Cros Academy “Coup de coeur”.
In 2008 he won the 2nd prize of the International Competition of Composition for percussions in Cannes with a Haiku by Yosa Busan (edited by Dhalmann Editions). He created the Association Polymorphoses with composers and instrumental performers and he organized concerts with various countries musicians. His works are performed in many concert halls in France. Now he teaches analysis at the Music School of Vitry-sur-Seine (near Paris)

Keitaro Takahashi is a composer of instrumental composition and computer music. He is also active as a video artist and a programmer. He studied composition, computer music and computer programming with Takayuki Rai, Cort Lippe and Shu Matsuda in Tokyo, and was graduated from Kunitachi College of Music with BA in computer music in 2009. In 2011, he completed M.A. in music composition at Basel Music Academy. Currently, he is studying composition and computer music under the supervision of Erik Oña in the doctoral course at Basel Music Academy.

The Selection Committee has been held on August 3, 2013 at the NPO JML Yoshiro Irino Music Institute Tokyo.Jury of this year:
Joji YUASA, Yori-Aki MATSUDAIRA, Satoshi TANAKA, Takayuki RAI (Chairman), Mari TAKANO, Masahiro MIWA, Haruyuki SUZUKITotal of Entries: 101 compositions, 32 countries

Award: 200,000 Japanese yen (will be shared between above two winners)
