By the age of sixteen, he had already obtained both the LRSM and the Performance and Teaching Diploma with distinction before moving to England in 1998 for university studies.<br \/>\nUpon graduation from the University of Hull with a first class degree (BMus) in all disciplines, he completed his PhD studies in Musical Composition at the University of York under the supervision of Dr Thomas Simaku. Evis has also furthered his studies at world-renowned festivals, seminars and workshops, including Darmstadt, IRCAM, Royaumont and Tanglewood as a composition fellow, working with leading composers such as Brian Ferneyhough, Georges Aperghis, George Benjamin, Johannes Schollhorn and Augusta Read Thomas.<\/p>\n<p>The Finnish composer <strong>Tomi R\u00e4is\u00e4nen<\/strong> (b. 1976 in Finland) studied composition at the Sibelius Academy. Before entering the Academy he read music at the University of Helsinki studying musicology and composition. R\u00e4is\u00e4nen completed his studies by participating in several international composition masterclasses, seminars and workshops. Since early 2000\u2019s R\u00e4is\u00e4nen\u2019s list of works has rapidly grown and contains compositions from solo pieces to chamber and choral music, and includes orchestral pieces and concertos.<br \/>\nR\u00e4is\u00e4nen\u2019s music has been widely performed and broadcast in around 40 countries across Europe, North and South America, Asia and Australia. In\u00a0year 2007 R\u00e4is\u00e4nen won the Irino Prize in Japan with his work \u201cStheno\u201d. In year 2002 he was awarded with the 2nd prize in the international composition competition \u201c2 Agosto\u201d in Italy. He has also gained success in other composition competitions in Finland and Australia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Jasna Veli\u010dkovi\u0107<\/strong> studied composition at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade with Srdjan Hofman then continued her postgraduate study at the Royal\u00a0Conservatory in The Hague. She studied with Louis Andriessen, Gilius van Bergeijk and Clarence Barlow.
