Nuno Costa<\/b> (November 4, 1986 \u2013 Cerva, Portugal) studied music composition at the Royal Conservatoire of Antwerp, under Wim Henderickx, the Escola Superior de <\/i>M\u00fasica, Artes e Espect\u00e1culo<\/i> (Porto) with Eug\u00e9nio Amorim, the Accademia Nazionale <\/i>di Santa Ceclia<\/i> (Rome) under Ivan Fedele, and electronic music at the Haute \u00c9cole de <\/i>Musique de Gen\u00e8ve<\/i> with Luis Na\u00f3n, Michael Jarrell and Gilbert Nouno. He attended masterclasses with Andre, Saariaho, Aperghis and many others, participated in the Darmst\u00e4dter Ferienkurse<\/i>, the Late Fall Banff Musicians in Residence and was also selected for a residence at The Camargo Foundation (France, 2019). Costa has received numerous scholarships and awards including the Fondation Nicati-de Luze<\/i> and Istituto <\/i>Italiano di Cultura<\/i> scholarships, the ISCM Young Composer Award, the Bourse <\/i>artistique<\/i> (Casa de<\/i> Vel\u00e1zquez \u2013 Acad\u00e9mie de France \u00e0 Madrid<\/i>, 2016), a Laureate from Fondation Royaumont<\/i> (Voix Nouvelles<\/i>, 2018), and won the impuls International Composition Competition (Klangforum Wien 2019). He also was selected to compose a chamber opera for 63\u00ba Festival Internazionale di Musica Contemporanea della Biennale <\/i>di Venezia<\/i>. Nuno has a special interest in improvisational work with groups of people who are not necessarily professional musicians and enjoys letting himself be carried away by the imagination that nighttime sky observation allows \u2013 the infinity of the universe: the brilliance of its stars and the colors of its planets.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
